My Barista journey began in June of 2015 - I had just graduated high school and was looking for a job. I was passionate about coffee and was excited for the opportunity to work as a barista and grow my coffee knowledge. In 2017 I was given the opportunity to transfer to a new location opening in town and stayed until December of 2018. 

During my tenure, I helped train employees, assisted management with inventory and ordering, managed cash deposits, oversaw shift operations to ensure everything was running smoothly- along with anything else they needed. I was a "jack of all trades" and learned everything I possibly could. 

During the course of my employment with Scooters Coffee, I learned more about the operational side of a coffee shop. Since the location was locally owned, I often worked independently, which taught me effective managerial and time management skills. 

One thing I greatly enjoyed learning about was the art of espresso - Scooters has an extensive espresso menu and the owners encouraged creativity when it came to making drinks. 

7 years later in 2022 I began working as a Starbucks Barista at a brand new Marriott hotel in the Space Coast area.
